If you’ve ever felt completely stumped by throw pillows, know you’re not alone! I struggle a lot when trying to combine pillows. There just seem to be so many factors to keep in mind, from sizing and pattern mixing, to shape. One of my favorite tricks for overcoming this kind of decision fatigue is purchasing pre-mixed sets from designers I trust. As soon as I spot a combination that speaks to me, I add the exact pillows mentioned to my cart. That takes so much of the guesswork out of things, and helps me not waste as much money on pillows that ultimately don’t look good together in real life. You can also buy pre-mixed sets on Etsy, like this, which I’ve been meaning to experiment with…
That said, one of the my very favorite “tried and true” brands to source pillows from is Loloi. You know I’m a big fan of their rugs, but I recently had the epiphany that their pillows are just as wonderful. They come in gorgeous expensive-looking patterns, yet aren’t outrageously priced, and mix and match so easily. I almost never buy pillows from anywhere else at this point because I know I can trust the quality, and I also appreciate that they’re often curated by designers whom I love and already follow. Being able to see the pillows inside the rooms they’ve designed gives me the confidence I need to click “purchase,” and I haven’t been disappointed even once. Here’s a list of my current favorites from Loloi.

I actually already own quite a few of the pillows that I linked to above. You can see number 3 on the list here in our café dining space, number 1 in our sunroom, and numbers 5 and 7 have both been styled in our kitchen seating nook, seen here and here. Number 7 is now in our main bedroom, which I have yet to share with you. I love that I can swap these pillows from room to room in our house and everything still feels nice and cohesive. This allows me to make the most of my teeny tiny décor budget, and helps the rooms in our home blend seamlessly from one to the next. Which pillow is your favorite from my list?
