Home Instagram Accounts I Love To Follow

Even though I know it’s not always the best for my mental health, I still love Instagram. The visuals inspire me every single day, and I especially love to linger over my favorite fellow home influencer accounts. Everyone is doing the prettiest things for spring these days, and I’m smitten with all the poppy paint colors, florals, and soft fabrics that homemakers seem to be gravitating toward these days.

One thing I like doing when I find myself feeling more insecure than inspired after scrolling through Instagram is mix up who I follow. I’ll quietly and respectfully mute those accounts that make me feel like I’m not “enough,” and instead engage with Instagramers who encourage and excite me with their posts. Here’s a quick list of those accounts that motivate me to try new things and who offer a safe, supportive place on the Internet from which to gather home décor ideas.

Home Instagram Accounts I Love To Follow:

1. @britdotdesign: My favorite thing to see on Brit’s account is when she hand-paints designs around her home, like the sweet floral motif she recently added around her window. Brit also just has such a unique way of mixing patterns that instantly energizes me mentally.

2. @katespiers: Kate is in the middle of an epic kitchen renovation right now, which I’m so excited to follow along with, but I also love following her for shelf styling inspiration. She’s such a pro! Kate also shares lots of fashion content, which I love.

3. @goldenhourabode: I can’t get enough of Jordan’s precious cats, but her eye for color is also so inspiring to me. The earthy palette she uses and her plant collection make me want to head straight to the garden center and paint store.

4. @goodboneslondon: This is a new follow for me this year after randomly watching Leanne’s home tour on YouTube, and now I can’t get enough of her eclectic, approachable home style. She’s currently been sharing all about her basil container garden, which makes me want to immediately plant fresh herbs.

5. @newdarlings: I’ve been following Christina for years and years, and her desert vibes continue to draw me in. She also shares such a great mix of beauty, fashion, fitness, and food content in addition to her lovely home décor features.

6. @graybenko: Gray’s account is so full of life! Follow her for bright paint and wallpaper inspiration, colorful home interiors, sneak peeks behind the scenes of her design show, and the prettiest dresses on the Internet. I would give anything to shop her closet.

7. @theoldforgeincolour: Another new one for me this year is Katherine’s account. I am positively obsessed with her mid-century aesthetic and her one-of-a-kind way of mixing patterns and colors. I aspire to be more like her, and appreciate that she’s so open and supportive with her community.

8. @saratoufali: If I had the chance to physically step into just one Instagramer’s real life home, I would pick Sara’s. It’s so cozy, calming, and welcoming. I’m especially drawn to the florals she uses throughout her space, and the vintage textiles she finds.

9. @thisyunkyhouse: Sometimes I feel like our home is the 1960s version of Zach and Hugh’s 1812 country farmhouse. We tend to gravitate toward the same colors, both use wallpaper often, and are fellow animals lovers. For those reasons (and so many more!) it feels very natural to have fallen in love with their gorgeous richly layered home.

Another thing I’ll say about this curated list of favorites is that I love them for the way they interact with their communities. They are so responsive to comments and DMs, and I find that refreshing. I know it must be hard for some “bigger” home influencers to respond to each and every comment they get, but as an influencer myself, I think it’s important to make time for that. I’m appreciative of the folks I listed above because they listen and reply, and they really seem to love their followers. For that, I’m happy to share the love right back with a shoutout today on my blog. Thanks to each and every one of them for bringing a little extra light to my day, and I hope they inspire you and your own home projects this season.
