August 2024 Home Mood Boards

Earthy Mod Dining Room Mood Board

This month I’m kicking off a brand new feature where I share all of the monthly mood board roundups that I’ve been posting over on my LTK account. This is a new facet of my content creation efforts that I realized some of you may be missing out on if you’re not on the LTK shopping app. Because of that, I’ve decided to start sharing the mood boards here on the blog at the end of each month to help inspire your home décor brainstorming. If you have a specific room or type of spot in your home that you’d like to see me mood board next, please let me know because many of these designs below were put together specifically from follower requests.

Earthy Mod Dining Room:

Like I said, lots of the mood boards I’ve been putting together on my account are based off of requests from followers, but this Earthy Mod Dining Room look was actually something I dreamed up entirely on my own. Our formal dining room is pretty much all finished in terms of design, but that doesn’t mean I’m not constantly dreaming of ways to mix things up in that space as time goes on. This roundup of dining room accents gives me alllllll the good feelings inside, especially that ultra modern chandelier and the retro-inspired upholstered dining chairs.

Boho Plant Room

Boho Plant Room:

One thing I haven’t mentioned yet is the fact that each of these mood boards comes packed with 16 products to peruse—not just the seven that you see represented in the graphic. I couldn’t fit all 16 items in the mood board, but if you click the direct links to each one—like the Boho Plant Room pictured above—then you’ll be able to scroll through the entire 16-piece collection. This particular design was inspired by a follower request. She had a sunroom space that lacked cohesion, so I pulled together a number of accents that invited a long lounge with a good book plus space for a slew of plant-inspired accessories to act as reading companions.

Kitchen Counter Accents

Kitchen Counter Accents:

Our own retro kitchen is really, really small, so I’m constantly keeping an eye out for aesthetic countertop accents that look good while also still being totally functional for everyday meal prep. This roundup of Kitchen Counter Accents was a direct result of that hunt for good-looking cooking accessories. We actually own that lovely mint green Smeg kettle ourselves and use it all the time. It’s amazing for heating up water in no time, but also looks oh-so-good sitting pretty on the open shelving in our kitchen. I really appreciate home goods that pull that kind of double duty, so all of these accents pictured above (see all 16 pieces here!) are currently on my wish list.

Feminine Bathroom Retreat

Feminine Bathroom Retreat:

Finally, I wanted to share my mood board for a Feminine Bathroom Retreat! I decided to dream up my version of the peeeeeerfect bathroom retreat, and this blush pink and earthy blue/green look was what my brain ultimately envisioned. When John and I have the budget for a deeper overhaul of our main bathroom, I think this is the direction in which I would go. I love the idea of incorporating bespoke organic blue tile in the shower stall, folky floral patterned flooring done in a classic style, plus mid-century-inspired silhouettes to finish off the look. What do you think? Could you see yourself going in this direction, too?

Don’t forget to let me know in the comments if you have a specific room or spot in your home that you’d like me to mood board next! I always make sure to prioritize follower requests first, so please do tell what’s on your list of future house projects.
