Back in April when I went to High Point Market, I was invited to visit the Loloi Rugs showroom as a VIP guest. Since they’re largely an e-commerce business, I had never had the chance to shop Loloi’s rugs, pillows, and art in person before this event. High Point was my chance to wander through their collections in person, to see, touch, and consider all of their gorgeous pieces up close. It was really eye-opening, and I took dozens of photos of rugs and art that I knew I wanted to invest in for future design projects around our home—and, of course, to inspire your own room makeovers, too.

High Point Market Tips For Press Bloggers

One rug that caught my attention in particular was the Aubrey – AUB-01 Area Rug from the partnership between Loloi and Angela Rose. You can see the rug pictured hanging in the Loloi showroom above, and today I’m showing you what that same rug looks like in a real life space—our guest room. I just knew that the soft blue and coral color palette was going to be perfect for our bonus bedroom, and the rug did not disappoint once I had it unrolled under the bed frame. I love how the dusty, intentionally faded colors look alongside the vintage wallpaper in our guest room, and the peachy pink linens that I chose for the bed are the perfect complement to those tones in the rug, too.

This rug is another one of their flat printed designs, which you know I love if you’ve been following along with me for any length of time. Instead of a high pile that can trap pet hair and dirt really easily, this rug is printed on a flat woven rug so that it’s super easy to keep clean. I’ve gotten questions over the years asking if that means the rug isn’t comfortable to walk across, and the answer is no! The rug is still really cozy is step onto, and works especially well when laid over top of the rug pads that we use throughout our home (I personally never use a rug without a rug pad—even bath mats). Loloi’s printed designs have a slightly ribbed feeling, much like you’d get with a flat woven kilim style rug in case you’re familiar with that sensation.

I genuinely love them so much, and have these flat rugs situated all over our home. Couldn’t recommend them enough, and I’m really excited to have this new design from Angela Rose in our collection.
