When it comes to Thanksgiving, most of us have onnnnnnnne thing that we love to pre-plan. It could be that you place all of your focus on the turkey, or maybe you pour your energy into the perfectly balanced guest list and seating chart. For me (and I suspect a lot of you), I can hardly think about anything other than the décor.
Tabletop decorations are pretty much my favorite thing year-round, so the idea of holiday-themed tablescapes makes me downright giddy. This year, I partnered with Hunker to come up with an easy painted table runner project that most of us can whip up using supplies we already have at home! That said, the good news is, in case you don’t have everything you need in your craft closet, most everything can be snagged from Amazon with 2-day shipping.
Since you now know all about my obsession with holiday table décor, I don’t mind admitting that I grabbed a few extra accents for this year’s look. I love the cozy vibe of hygge-inspired knits these days, especially now that it’s consistently chilly outside, so I grabbed these waffle texture cloths and wooden napkin rings to act as reusable tabletop sets. I also ordered this paper leaf pack that I sprinkled across the table for a pop of fall color.
What do you think? Pop over to Hunker to see the step-by-step tutorial and supply list for my DIY striped table runner, and then let me know in the comments here all about your favorite part of Thanksgiving.
