I don’t know what it is about fall, but there’s something about this season, in particular, that makes me want to hunker down and really nest. This is the time of year when I usually make the biggest changes in terms of the design of our home, and, boy, do I have a lot of big plans. One room in our house is getting a total overhaul (more on that tomorrow), I’ve got big dreams of a made-over carport side door entry, and I’m feeling the urge to rearrange just about every room in our house.

I recently added a new armload of Serena & Lily pillows to the couch in our living room, and I’m completely smitten with the updated look. Remember when I added a dynamite vintage-inspired rug to our dining room? Well, that out-of-left-field change inspired a whole new color palette of rich reds and dark blue/green grays that I wanted to transition into the living room, which is just off the dining room.
I snagged three new pillows for the couch: their Cayucos Pillow Cover in ‘Pink Sand/Navy,’ an Addie Stripe Tassel Pillow Cover in ‘Smoke,’ and the Ashby Pillow Cover in ‘Fog.’ I also have one more last-minute addition on the way—their Kentfield Pillow Cover in ‘Merlot.’
