Weekend Inspiration: No. 67

Happy Friday! I’m actually about to head into a working weekend with two full days spent at the pottery studio. Our community space is holding a weekend-long workshop for intermediate potters, so I’ll be there working away on a few new-to-me techniques.

I’ll try my best to document some of the action on my Instagram Stories (when my hands aren’t covered in wet clay, that is!), so make sure you’re following me over in that space if you want a peek into the event. In the meantime, keep scrolling for a handful of links to cool projects and articles.

Weekend Inspiration: No. 67

1. I’ve lately been trying to add more sustainability to our routine, so this coffee sock caught my eye. I just started using the organic cotton reusable coffee filter with my pour-over dripper, and it has been a game-changer because it means I don’t have to use disposable paper filters anymore.

2. Speaking of sustainability, I got lots of good inspiration from this article all about creating better money habits over time.

3. Isn’t this DIY modern trellis project so clever?! I’m not sure if I have a good enough green thumb to give it a shot, but maybe I could use it with faux greenery. Is that too tacky? What if I just leave it out during the sunny, hot months? I can’t decide.

4. This small bath makeover might just be the prettiest one of 2019. The pink paneling steals the show in the very best way possible.

5. One recent upgrade we made in our own small bathroom was a new towel holder. I finally took down the old towel bar we inherited from the previous homeowners, and put up this sleek wood peg rail instead. I also grabbed these towels (they have handy cotton hanging loops) to go with it. This turned out to be such a simple and inexpensive update!

6. Have you thought about upgrading your closet organization ahead of the summer-to-fall wardrobe transition? Our how-to tutorial for installing one by yourself might be all the motivation you need.
