DIY Countdown To Halloween Candy Calendar

How is September almost over already?! Halloween is a little over a month away, and I just don’t know where the time has gone. Didn’t it feel like we were wrapping up another whirlwind Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year’s season only a few weeks ago?

Well, that time is nearly upon us once again and, despite the disbelieving start to this blog post, today’s the day that I officially quit saying how surprised I am that we’re already in the midst of the holidays. I’ve said it (multiple times, probably), so it’s out of the way. Now’s the time to get PUMPED for another round of overindulging in the name of this extra special time of year, and I’m kicking things off with a brand new craft project for Oriental Trading: my DIY Countdown To Halloween Candy Calendar.

This numbered box project is a cinch to recreate thanks to the free printable and shopping list I made available here. But that’s not the best part, though…See those 30+ boxes? Every last one is filled with candy so you can placate that sweet tooth of yours every day leading up to Halloween at the end of the month.

You can choose to make the countdown more of a scavenger hunt by mixing up the numbers, or put them in order from 1-31 if you’d rather simplify things (great for kids, too, so my OTC editors/mamas tell me!).
