As you know, I’m a sucker for a beautiful piece of art. Luckily, I’ve found that art is one of those elusive types of home décor that’s okay to hoard. We have piles of stacked-up framed art in our basement, but I don’t feel guilty about it because having those extras on hand really does keep me from running out and buying new pieces every time I change up a room and need something fresh to fill a wall. Instead, I can trot down the stairs, rifle through our collection, and pull something out that hasn’t been hung up in a while. It feels new even if we’ve owned it for years, simply because it’s been “out of sight, out of mind” for a while.
Occasionally, though, I do have a wall or room that could stand to have something totally new added to it, which is why I’ve rounded up 12 of the art pieces currently topping my “someday” wish list. The dangerous thing about this list is that I really want them all. I can’t help but wonder if they’d all work together in one giant show-stopping collection.

7. Sum Total
9. Oja
10. Unity
12. Painted Canyon 1
Which one is your favorite from the list? Let me know in the comments. And while I’m polling you guys, I’d also love to know how you feel about gallery walls. Are they out of style, or do you still consider them fair game for modern room makeovers? I think, personally, I love the idea of a small group of three but hesitate to go much bigger than that. Let me know your thoughts on the gallery wall trend circa 2018 below!
I like Unity. It would be the perfect third in a set of three in my living room (now just two large pieces). Where is that one from? I tend to think that you should ignore rukes and do what feels right to you! Maximalism is in, but I guess so is minimalism. Kinda feels like you can do whatever!
Unity is such a nice one!! The piece is linked above, but here’s the link again. It’s from Minted 🙂
#8 – Possibilities. As to the questions of “art walls”: do you have a better idea than Dr. Barnes?
I love that one, too! Not sure you who mean, sorry!
