Let’s quickly rewind way back to 2016 and a certain issue of Domino Magazine. While flipping through the pages, I happened to notice a pretty photo of this living room, complete with gorgeous white paneling, extra luxurious floor pillows, and a stunning ringed wall hanging. I remember snapping a photo of the magazine page with the intent of trying to recreate the piece of art, but then I must have forgotten about it because it wasn’t until this past spring that I was reminded about the potential DIY.
My editor at Hunker was actually the one who brought the project back to mind when she asked if I thought I could recreate the wall hanging using wood beads and rings. I almost couldn’t respond “Yes!” fast enough, and now I’m finally able to share my tutorial for a DIY Wooden Rings Wall Hanging so you can make your own!
Isn’t it amazing how (1) you can be on the exact same wavelength with another creative person, and (2) how a single photograph in a magazine can inspire you to create something you wouldn’t have thought of before?
I just love looking around our home at all the DIYs I’ve done and thinking about how each one got started. Some might have been inspired by a fellow DIY blogger, another could have been the product of a crafting workshop, and then others came to be just because of tiny photos in a magazine.
