I’m oh-so thrilled to debut our updated home tour with you guys today! If you’re just tuning in, we moved into our new-to-us house here in Waynesboro, Virginia, just eight short months ago, and have been falling hard for every square inch since then.
Although it hasn’t even been a full year, we’ve worked hard to embrace the original charm of our 1960’s A-frame ranch, while modernizing those little bits that need some extra TLC. Welcome to our home, eight months in, and be sure to check out my full tour and interview over on Glitter Guide today with a full list of linked resources and photos by the ultra talented Andrea Pesce!
P.S. Don’t forget to enter to win a Switchdriver from WORX! Contest details this way.
Carrie! It’s so bright, happy, and wonderful! I remember when you closed on the house last year, and now look at it–amazing! Congratulations. I love all the details.
Awww, thanks, Joy!! That means a lot!
You have such a gorgeous home! I absolutely love that you maintained the mid-century feel and curated such a beautiful collection of furnishings and accents. Perfection!

OMG your home is SO beautiful Carrie! It’s so fun to see the progress and changes you made since I visited last. Pinned and repinned! xo
Thank you SO much, Rachel!!! Feel free to come see all the changes in person (and gab with me over a glass of wine) ASAP!! 🙂
Your home is as gorgeous as yourself!! Everything looks perfect
Have a great weekend:)
Oh, wow! Thank you so much, Marwa! You made my day =) Hope you have a great weekend, too!!
Gorgeous home! Can I ask you where you got that mid-century coat rack? It’s darn cute!
Thanks!
Thank you so much!! It was actually a DIY and you can get the tutorial here!
Hello! Your home is soooo pretty and cozy! I was wondering if the wired card holder in your office is vintage? Thanks so much! <3
Thanks, Christine!! It IS vintage—it was originally an old vinyl record holder/stand. Good eye!
Hi! You have done such a gorgeous job of decorating your home! Can you please share where you purchased your hanging rattan chair?
Awww, thank you so much!! I’m glad you like it! The rattan chair is from Galaxie Modern 🙂
You’re house is absolutely darling! I too just purchased a mid century home and I’m starting to paint the mustard yellow walls. I love that pale greenish color that I think is in one of your bedrooms. What color is that?
Thank you so much, Grace!! I wish you all the best with your own retro reno 🙂 Sadly, the green color in the bedroom was already here when we moved in, so I’m not sure what the name is…I’m sorry I couldn’t help more!
Hi Carrie, your house is fabulous! I love the laid-back vibe yet everything seems carefully thought out. I was wondering what color you used on your bedroom walls? It looks like a very pale green, though it’s always hard to tell on a computer screen… Thanks!
Awww, thanks, Alyssa! Your comment made my day 🙂 Sadly, that color was already on the walls per the last owners when we moved in, so I don’t know the name of the paint color…I’m sorry! You’re right though that it’s a pale green color—good eye!
Love your home!!! would you mind sharing the paint color in the blue room with the tapestry? It is gorgeous!
Thanks, Billie! Your comment made my day ? Unfortunately, that color was already on the walls per the last owners when we moved in, so I don’t know the name of the paint color…I’m sorry!
