What a roller coaster these last few weeks have been! I can’t even begin to explain the emotional havoc this process has inflicted on my brain, but I can finally, finally say these four beautiful words: we are finally home. In the midst of our whirlwind last minute move last week, I found out that we wouldn’t be able to get Internet set up at the house until this coming weekend, so I’m hustling through my mountain of emails and to-dos while parked here at a table in Panera. I am likely going to be disorganized for one more week, but I hope to finally get back to normal by the end of the month.
Since my web time is limited and I’ve got lots of things to take care of behind the scenes, I’ll simply share the “before” photos of our new home with you now without explanation. I’ll be back to share much more behind each room and what we have in mind, but if you want to shout out your own ideas, be my guest!
i cannot wait to see what you do with (or in place of) that yellow/gold chandelier – i have literally the exact same one in my dining room and i’m always staring at it with a million ideas going through my head.
Oh, fun! Well, you better believe I’ll keep you and everyone else updated on our plans for that chandelier 🙂
Congrats Carrie! Can’t wait to see what you do with the space!
Thank you!!
Congratulations! I love the house and can’t wait to see what you do with it.
Thanks so much! Glad you like it! 🙂
So excited to see the transformation that you will no doubt do. The moment I knew these were “before” pictures was the room with the faded paneling that you could see where pictures were before. 🙂 Happy for you!
Thanks Melanie!! Yeah, I can’t wait to fix that faded paneling 🙂
My, oh my! What an incredible find this house was. It has fantastic bones–I am drooling over that stove! Tom and I recently watched a Love It or List It that was a midcentury house in NC…you should check it out! Not that you don’t already have a million ideas as it is, I’m sure. This is definitely a blank canvas for you to work your magic on!!
Thank you Sarah!! We love the stove, too 🙂 And I’ll have to check out that episode, for sure…Your confidence makes me feel like I CAN tackle it all!
I love the clerestory windows in the living room! You are going to have so much fun with this house. I can’t wait to see what you do!
That’s my favorite feature, too! Thanks for the support 🙂
This is so very exciting! I cannot wait to see everything that you do with this place. It’s actually making me feel inspired to get going on neglected rooms in our own house, haha.
YAY!!
Thank you Kim!! Your reno stories are always so inspiring for me, so keep ’em coming! Your kitchen makeover has me itching to tackle that room first in our new place 🙂
So exciting, congrats! Can’t wait to see what you do with this gorgeous new home xx
Thanks Elysha!!
Love the new place Carrie! Can’t wait to see what you do with it! Congrats!! =)
Aww, thank you Brittany!! I’m so thrilled that you love it, too!
This is so fantastic Carrie. Congratulations on your new home sweets. Its going to be amaaaazing?
Thanks girl!! I really appreciate your confidence in me 🙂
We moved back in April after a buying directly from the seller and it was bananas! I know it’s crazy stressful, but there’s nothing quite like settling into your new home once it’s all done. I love your home! It has so much potential and I know you’ll do beautiful things with it. Congrats =)
Thanks for the support and encouragement Kathryn!!
I adore your new home!!! I’m loving the mid century touches—it reminds me so much of our Florida house. The light is so good and that sunroom is so so great!
Awww, thank you so much Sarah!! I’m glad it reminds you of your sweet Florida home 🙂
What an amazing house! I can envision such potential. Have fun!!!
