I freely admit that I am a terrible (or, really, nonexistent) sewer. I don’t know the first thing about sewing machines, and only know very basic hand stitch techniques. But when Josi Severson, textile designer, reaches out and shares her beautifully patterned, highly saturated fabrics, you go into instant brainstorm mode to figure out a solution that doesn’t involve a needle and thread. My aha moment? The simplest DIY Fabric Wall Art there ever was.
This project is made for my fellow crafters who loathe sewing, too, and all comes down to my favorite no-sew material: iron-on hem tape. With it, I was able to celebrate and put my yardages of Breaking Waves in ‘Lemon Yellow’ and Current in ‘Red Raspberry’ to good use without even an ounce of frustration or stress.
