I am so, so honored to be sharing a brand new (largely DIY) wedding with you guys today! This event was held in celebration of Michael and Marlee, the latter I have known my entire life. Marlee is the youngest sister of my very best forever friend, Erica, and the daughter of some of the very best parents I know. I’m thrilled that Marlee gave me permission to share some—okay, a LOT—of her photos with you. Jane Bradley Photography captured this family with such grace and beauty, and there’s even more in the slideshow at the end of the post.
And in case you’re wondering why I’m using my DIY blog to share this event, I think you’ll see the reasoning in all of the pretty handmade details that Marlee created! From the DIY table letters to the custom chalkboard signs, this bride put a ton of time and love into crafting the perfect event.
Welcome to Marlee and Michael’s beautiful November day…
^^^You better believe I had to pinch myself SO hard to keep from balling when this moment happened! Please tell me you guys cry like saps at weddings, too.^^^
^^^Fun fact: Marlee put me in charge of the donut table and the guest book, so I enlisted my perfectionist sister for help. She spent over an hour getting those thumb print portraits juuuuuuuuuuust right. Don’t you think she nailed it? Michael is a police officer and Marlee is a nurse.^^^
^^^These two are my oldest and most beloved pals. I think you can probably tell just by their expressions that we have had some pretty amazing and wild moments in the past 29-ish years.^^^
