What can I say? I just love pushing the limits when it comes to crafting supplies, which is why our Supply Of The Month series with Oriental Trading is such a fun one to be a part of. I’m one of four bloggers who, each month, take one craft supply and demonstrate how it can be used in four totally different ways.
This month, it was all about baker’s twine, and I personally decided to try manipulating the string into a fun art project that (as evidenced by the mood board I styled above) can inspire an entire room makeover—from drawer pulls and curtains, to paint colors and potted plants. See the full tutorial for my DIY Leafy Baker’s Twine Banner over on Oriental Trading by clicking either one of those links.
Speaking of OTC, did you hear that the team just launched a brand new site? Oriental Trading’s Fun365 is a fun way to get inspired to craft this fall—the improved site allows you to, quite literally, see it, shop it, and then make it. You can now click through to all of my original DIYs here (it’s so fun to see all of those projects in one spot, btw!), and you can purchase supplies for everything right from the craft tutorial. See what I mean here in this example.
I’m excited to dive into the other three baker’s twine projects that were part of this month’s Supply Of The Month series, and hope you’ll share your own craftable string ideas in the comments below.
